Hi again

Sorry, I've been busy, and wasn't able to post.
Everything was fine last time.
last Monday, the doctor saw something on the scan that is sometimes indicative of a chromosomal abnormality. Today, my wife went for genetic counseling, and they said the chance of it being a problem was really slim, so it looks like everything is ok there.
Thanks to all who posted that they're still reading! Post more so I know you're still there :)

Hello... is there anybody out there?

Yes, the line is from one of my favorite songs: Comfortably Numb, by Pink Floyd.
lately, i haven't been getting too many comments. In fact, I've been getting almost none. Sometimes I wonder if people just stopped reading my blog.

Purim

Purim was nice. We went to my brother-in-law for the seudah and the weekend. Their entire family was there (his in-laws, aunt & uncle, other sister-in-law) and they all oohed and aahed over my wife's pregnancy (she's clearly showing now.)
On Friday night, my wife started having some sharp pain in her lower back, and it spread to different areas. it eased a bit, and we assumed it was nothing. On Shabbos morning, the pain came back, and she had some brownish discharge during the Shabbos meal. I went and called her doctor (yes, on Shabbos) and he said it doesn't sound like a miscarriage. Since she has an appointment for Monday anyway, he said don't bother coming in before then unless the pain or discharge get worse. They didn't (the discharge disappeared after the one time), so we finished Shabbos, and my wife is taking it easy now until her appointment. Hopefully everything is fine!
Just on a side note, we'd already picked out one boy's name and one girl's name. We also have a probable second boy's name in case we have 2 boys. The thing we didn't have was a second girl's name. Over the weekend, I was looking through a book of names that my brother in law has, and I found a second girl's name. My wife likes it also, so we'll probably use it if we have 2 girls.

Doctor visit/Ultrasound... and some suspense!

On Monday, my wife went to the doctor for her checkup, and everything looked great. Yesterday, she was having some stomach pains again, so instead of me going shopping for stuff for Shabbos, we went to the doctor again.
Everything was fine, and he said the pain could be from one of a few things. I finally got to see an ultrasound again! It's been a long time since I saw it. It was so cool! The baby has limbs, and was moving around, and you could see it all! We asked if he could tell the gender yet, and he said the babies weren't cooperating with their positioning. He did say, however, that he could take a guess based on what he did see if he had to, but really wasn't sure. I'm not going to write what he said until we know for sure, so enjoy the suspense!

Forgetting

There's a couple we used to be friends with (we had a HUGE fight recently over that whole A TIME issue, and aren't really speaking now). They also went through fertility treatments, and were successful.
I think that having succeeded, they forgot what it was like to be going through treatments, and to be so nervous and wondering what the next day will bring. They aren't too sensitive to people going through it anymore.
I hope that doesn't happen to me. Even with our pregnancy, we're nervous, due to the uterine issues we're dealing with. Our pregnancy can end at any time. I just hope that when, hopefully, our babies are in our arms, we'll remember what it's like, and treat people with the sensitivity and respect they so desperately want. If I start acting like an ass, I hope someone slaps me up a bit.

No more Lovenox!

The doctors were in agreement: no more Lovenox! That means my wife doesn't have to give herself any more injections. Only pills now!
